The key financial backer for the establishment of the business via Ekwienox, and remains the largest shareholder of ASPone. Mr. Hughes’ history includes the position of CEO of Prebon Group, a premier intermediary boasting 2000+ staff across 30 global offices, who were active in a broad range of over the counter foreign exchange, money market, interest rate, fixed income, and securities markets spanning the cash and derivative spectrums. In 2004, Prebon Group was sold to Tullett plc, and Mr Hughes moved on to found ‘Ekwienox Limited’, a strategic holding company providing a range of financial market products and services.

Patrick McGrath

Chief Executive –

Born in Dublin in 1961 and studied Civil Engineering at University College Dublin prior to spending two years based overseas on various large scale Hydro:Electric Dam and Reservoir project developments. Mr McGrath moved into the Financial Services IT sector in January 1985, working initially for Royal Trust Bank of Canada, before postings with First Interstate Bank of California and Standard CharteredBank. In 1993, he joined inter dealer broker Prebon Yamane based in London holding various roles including IT Director – EMEA, and Global DevelopmentDirector. Mr McGrath is the founder and technologyvisionary for ASPone’s foundation and development.

Sina Hakman

Chief Technology Office –

Responsible for the management of ASPone’s software development and systems infrastructure. Mr Hakman co founded, and was chief technical officer of Likom Software Inc., one of the largest independent software companies in Turkey, before running his own IT and management consulting firm focusing on project management, software development, and Internet strategy and technologies. From 1997 to 2000, Mr Hakman was also Microsoft’s regional director for software developer relations for Turkey, and co founded‘I Deal Data Systems Limited’ prior to its acquisition by ASPone in 2005.
